<p>Each couple participating will co-host one of the progressives and be guests at the other. As co-hosts, you and others will be responsible for planning, buying, and preparing food/beverages. There will be one large cocktail party at the clubhouse, and then, depending on the number of participants, there will be 6-8 separate dinners. <strong>Please consider offering your home for dinner</strong> … it’s easy … you prepare your home and then your co-hosts do the cooking!</p>

At the time of her death, she was a member of the Virginia Bar, having served previously in Legal Aid offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Virginia. She had a lifelong passion [...]]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of our Windsor Forest Neighbors, Francie&#160; Taylor of&#160; ( 151 Devon Rd)&#160; died peacefully at home on May 17, 2010.    <br />At the time of her death, she was a member of the Virginia Bar, having served previously in Legal Aid offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Virginia. She had a lifelong passion for both human rights and civil rights issues, and often took on pro bono cases. At the time of her death, she was also a member of the Eastern Virginia Legal Services Board. She was born in Richmond and raised in West Point and Williamsburg. After graduating from Wellesley College she received a juris doctor degree from the University of Virginia in 1979.     <br />She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Sears Taylor; her mother, Frances (Redd) McElheny; and her sister, Louise Stratton Taylor.     <br />She is survived by her husband, Peter Walentisch; and their three children: Eric, Alex and Kristen Walentisch; her maternal aunts, uncle, and numerous cousins.</p>
<p>A Celebration of her Life will be held at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church on May 22&#160; at 2 p.m., followed by a reception at the church hall.&#160; <br />Interment will be at Westhampton Memorial Park, Richmond. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to <a href="http://www.stmartinswmbg.org/St._Martins_Episcopal_Church_-_Other_Outreach.html">St. Martin’s Social Outreach Commission.</a></p>

<p>We are pleased to announce that an organizational meeting will be held on <b>June 7, 2010, 7:00pm<i>, </i></b>at <b><i>James Blair Middle School </i></b>for the purpose of organizing a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for <b><i>Lois S. Hornsby Middle School</i></b>. Through the PTA, we can help strengthen the quality of life and education in our community. The PTA is a valuable line between home, school, and the community, providing all with important information benefiting our children. </p>
<p>Representatives from the Virginia PTA will be present to explain the benefits, basic policies, and procedures of the association, allowing time for questions and discussion. Through the PTA, we can help strengthen the quality of life and education in our community. <p>After voting to organize, we will adopt bylaws, accept charter memberships, and elect officers(<b>if you would like to nominate someone for an officer position please see nomination form on the back of this memo</b>) so that our PTA can begin operating immediately. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Progressive Dinner is right around the corner (July 3)</p>
<p>There have been a couple requests to return to the old format of 2-3 cocktail parties, 6-8 dinner parties, and then everyone gathering back at the clubhouse for dessert.&#160; The format was changed to the current format (1 large cocktail party and then dinner + dessert in separate homes) in 2007 due to lack of volunteers to chair and co-host the dessert progression.&#160; The dessert hosts (led by Simone Belden for several years) worked extremely hard to provide a themed party, but attendance was mediocre and the hosts had to rush out of their dinner parties to be ready at 10PM.&#160; </p>
<p>Bottom line &#8211; the dessert hosts weren&#8217;t able to relax and enjoy the evening because they had to rush through dinner to get to the dessert progression.</p>
<p>If anyone would like to step up and volunteer to chair desserts at the clubhouse, we can certainly entertain returning to the 3 progression format.&#160; </p>
<p>Without that volunteer, we will continue with the 2 progressions.&#160; </p>
<p>Please call Susan Farr or Trish Rice if you would like to volunteer to chair desserts at the clubhouse.</p>

<p>Clean / bleach / paint front entrances at Devon, Buford, Sheffield-Bring Sprayer, Trash Cans of Water</p>
<p>Stain sign posts ( Brown) repaint wood street signs/ Green / White</p>
<p>blow off tennis courts</p>
<p>make list of volunteers attending/ take pictures</p>
<p>Clean Bathrooms</p>
<p>install stair handrails in pool- Use wood shims</p>
<p>empty bathrooms, lily pad, clean and arrange furniture</p>
<p>Caulk seams in concrete between pool and deck order roping 5/8&#8242; and use</p>
<p>Stain bench, starting platforms, lifeguard stand with redwood stain etc.</p>
<p>Drain baby pool, clean, refill</p>
<p>Prep and paint chairs and tables as needed ( black) re-weld if necessary</p>
<p>Weed, clean, edge entrance beds at Devon, Sheffield   <br />Plants at clubhouse beds, Azaleas, Crape Myrtle, Iris    <br />Spray Roundup on weeds in picnic table area</p>
<p>Paint chain link fence ( use rust preventer , then silver paint)</p>
<p>Repair Door to Bathrooms. ( need repair panel)</p>
<p>Check and install all umbrellas</p>
<p>Replace hose bib on bottom and top of sand filter</p>
<p>Plant Flowers in Pots</p>
<p>Restrap Chaise Lounges ( Order webbing)</p>
<p>Grade trail to Tyndall ct and put stairs in/ gravel</p>
<p>Restock supplies and First Aid Kit</p>
<p>Start up chlorine feeders replace line</p>
<p>Check repair shower valve</p>
<p>Re glue wallpaper in clubhouse</p>
<p>Old WF sign on hill / Repaint Sign</p>
<p>Clean all white pool furniture</p>
<p>Screw Pool Cover bolts into pool deck flush ( spray with wd 40 first)</p>
