Neighborhood Watch
Neighborhood Watch/Block Captains
Windsor Forest Needs YOU!
Several minor criminal incidents in Windsor Forest have once again stirred our vigilant eye! Our neighbors and Board are proactively reinstating our Neighborhood Watch program which will assist in keeping our neighborhood safe and secure for our families.
Success depends on volunteers to serve as Block Captains. The main role of a block captain is to take responsibility for relaying information to members of their block which may include information about meetings and crime incidents. IDEALLY, our block captains will also be willing to relay other pressing issues involving our neighborhood as they arise. Commitment should be limited to relaying information once per month and may be done via phone, handout or block meetings.
Thank you to those of you who have already expressed interest in becoming a block captain and I will be contacting you soon. We now need many other volunteers to help in this endeavor and I am excited to hear from you! Please do not shy away from volunteering if you live on a long stretch of road as we will certainly divide larger areas to make it manageable!
